Temple Marriage

Okay so I told you I was not very good at this. I meant to put this in after question 2. Where were you married?

In 1974 there was no temple in South Africa . We had to wait a year before we could go to the London temple. So in 1975 on January 15th we were married for time and all eternity.

Marriage in the temple in South Africa is not recognized as being legal so all South Africans get married at church first and then later in the temple.Now because there is a temple in Johannesburg they can do it in the same weekend and not have to wait a year like we did.

It is very traditional for a South African bride to walk down the aisle on her wedding day,I'm happy to say that we followed the traditions of our ancestors.
