We got up very early ,caught a bus to East Cryden Station 2 pounds each. Caught a train to Gatwick 7 pounds. It only took about 10 minutes so we were bright and early getting Genevieve to the airport. Genevieve had only taken her scheduled week off work to come with us ,so she was not coming to Scotland.
We picked up our car at the car rental and set off for East Grinstead. We found our way to Lingfield and went to the London Temple. The grounds appeared a lot smaller than when we were last there in 1975,probably because they have since built accommodation for temple workers and patrons. We only took a video of the temple and grounds,it was raining and somehow I didn't get to take a picture.https://www.lds.org.uk/getting_here.php
When we went to the temple to be sealed in 1975 I had taken off a pearl necklace and had forgotten it at the temple. Not suprising after 39yrs that is was not still there. They must have thgought I was crazy when I asked if it was. I just imagined that it would still be sitting in a little drawer waiting for me to come back and claim it.
We drove in to East Grinstead and had some fish and chips for lunch. We did notice whilst in England that fish and chip shops were no longer as popular as before.Curry seems to be much easier to find, sausgae rolls and pasties were still plentiful.
