Well the house is certainly coming along in leaps and bounds. They have mudded the inside ( skip trowel) and prepared the outside for stucco. For those of you outside the USA the interior walls which are made of 2" x 4 " framed wood are then covered with boards 4' x 8 ' called sheetrock ( really just sheets of plaster of paris or gypsom covered in thick sheets of paper.) These boards are screwed into the wooden frame ,the joins are covered with white tape, they then mud ( cover the tape with a runny gypsom type of stuff) When it dries it is sanded so that the joins are absolutely invisible. The walls can then be textured with the same stuff, they usually do an orange peel texture but we are having a skip trowel texture done. It is a far simpler procedure that ones pays more for. Really no reason for this other than another opportunity for them to rip their customers off. A skip trowel texture is much nicer to paint on and you all know how much I love to paint so it was a must for me. I will be able to antique my walls with glaze etc. Looking very forward to putting some colour into the house because at first it will all be white. We had to pay extra if we wanted a different colour wall to the doors, because we are trying to cut down on expenses where we can and I love painting anyway this was a no brainer.
We are supposed to clos on the 26th Sept so only another 4 weeks or so . Eureka!

I can't believe how quickly they're building it. Maybe Dora and boots will come trick-or-treating to Lehi :-)
