Ah ! those were the days ,the first day of school.This was Kim's first day at High school,Std 6 or 8th Grade. Janice was going to her first day at big school. Class i or I st Grade. The children had had 6 weeks off school for the Summer holidays and Christmas. In South Africa we had 4 school terms . January to April when we had a 10 day break for the Easter holidays. Then April to June when they had a three weeks break. Jjuly to October whenn they broke for another 10 day holiday. The school year usually ended the first week in December when they were home for 6 weeks. I have a picture somewhere of not such happy faces on the first day of school ,I'm going to try and find it .

First Day of school 1988 or 1989
